New perspectives on sports at ISPO Munich 2023

Last November, the leading sports industry brands gathered for another edition of ISPO Munich, showcasing the new collections and trends of the sector with a festive, inspiring and community atmosphere.

Under the motto “New perspectives on sports“, the fair was distinguished not only by the usual innovations in brands and materials, but also by the inclusion of current debates. Topics such as the circular economy, women’s empowerment and mental health featured prominently, significantly transforming the conception and practice of sport.

One of the trends that caught our attention is the transformation in the sporting world. ISPO Munich, as the epicenter of all the latest trends in sports, is perhaps the best place to demonstrate the industry’s growth. This year, as well as highlighting the popularity and scale of winter sports, the GameChanger SportsHUB area in Hall B showed how technology and gamification can take the sports industry into an increasingly digital environment.

Another trend that has already been addressed in previous editions, but continues to grow in relevance and creativity, is the idea of sustainability in the sports industry. We could have seen it in the annual selection of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies and products of the ISPO Award which once again Pasqual Arnella has collaborated with ecological mannequins to exhibit the products of the award-winning brands.

Embracing a green future without greenwashing

Our mannequins have been chosen by different brands to convey their philosophy and commitment to the environment in the selection of displays where they presented their ecological products.

One of these brands was TERNUA, which designs and manufactures high-tech, multi-purpose outdoor and mountain clothing with a unique design. It is a committed and sustainable brand that protects the planet and people, from a symbol that represents the relation between both, and we are delighted that they have chosen our sustainable mannequins to reinforce their message!

Vibram is another brand we have worked with. In this case, the brand wanted to show its products with a perfect fit, so we created a custom shoe insert for its signature shoe, Fivefingers.

And also, we would like to present a brand that we came across – RRAT’s. It is a brand that manufactures sandals for the outdoors and, the name “rrat” comes from Montserrat, where nature is part of their daily life. For this fair, RRAT’s decided to select our foot-display to avoid greenwashing and to communicate clearly and directly to visitors that their products are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Another brand we worked with is DARN TOUGH, who chose our foot mannequin to showcase their merino wool socks made in Vermont, USA. This is a product of exceptional quality, ideal for hiking, running, working, or everyday wear, and with a lifetime guarantee.

So, although this year Pasqual Arnella has not been present with its own stand, we have had a wide representation thanks to all the brands that have trusted us. We could not be more satisfied!
